Goodyear Centerpointe

Community Power Center

Goodyear Centerpointe is a 31.4-acre retail power center located at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Estrella Parkway, across from Macerich’s planned Estrella Falls regional mall. When Goodyear Centerpointe opened in spring of 2008 it featured tenants such as Toys “R” Us, Mervyn’s, BevMo, Sport Chalet, Circuit City, and Party City. Since a portion of the site was situated with a floodplain, the project was designed to raise the grades out of the FEMA “AO” Zone. Optimus, in conjunction with other members of the project team, ultimately obtained a post-construction Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) documenting that the entire property was properly removed from the flood plain. Extensive coordination was also required in order to successfully design and construct the on-site improvements with those being funded and completed via an off-site improvement district.

In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, Optimus provided all site survey and civil engineering services for the on-site improvements inclusive of grading and drainage, sewer/water facilities, roadways, and parking fields.
